Another Happy Patient!
~Welcome to the first day of the rest of my life~
I couldn’t even begin to explain how happy I am after my surgery on November 13th! I had such a great experience and would do it again in a heartbeat. My surgeon was Dr. Shane Sheibani in Los AngelesCalifornia. He did an amazing job. It has been three weeks and my incisions are almost invisible. I have been told by a friend that I have the “best boob job” that she has ever seen. His office staff has also been extremely helpful since I live in Florida but went to California for surgery. I will backtrack back to the day of surgery. I know that I have blogged here and there, but now I have had a chance to get my thoughts together. Day 1 Surgery day, I was scared thinking that the pain was going to be horrible. I went to the doctor’s office bright and early and was greeted by the friendly staff. I changed into the garments they gave me for surgery and then they started the IV. I don’t like needles at all, so that was the worst part of everything! I then remember going into the surgery room and talking with the anesthesiologist. She was a very sweet woman who soothed my fears. She told me that she was going to give me some “happy drugs” and the next thing I know, I hear people in the room asking about my job etc. Surgery was over! I couldn’t believe it. I felt a little pressure on my chest but NO PAIN! I was wheeled into the recovery room and monitored for an hour. I felt great! My friend came to get me and took me back to the house and I slept. I was told to drink lots of fluids and I did. I had a water and Gatorade right by the bed and took my meds as prescribed. I never felt pain the whole time after surgery. I felt soreness, and it was hard to move my arms, but I was expecting the worst. I am pleased to tell you that this was not a painful experience at all! On Saturday night, Jason came and took me to dinner. Of course I had to flash him! Girls, you know we owe it to Jay and Jason to show them that the money was well spent! J It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I did sleep a lot my first week after surgery, but flew home 6 days later. The plane ride home was a little uncomfortable since I didn’t bring my travel pillow, but all is well! I am still in my surgical bra, but as soon as I can get into regular bras, I will take pictures for everyone. It has now been three weeks and 1 day since surgery and yesterday I worked out for the first time. I walked for 1hr and 15 minutes. I can only do light walking and no weights, but that is ok. I will be able to in time. I want to heal nicely. Thank you everyone for making my dreams come true, and welcome to the first day of the rest of my life. Love you always, Jessica
